Welcome to Codex Marketplace's Author Program. By registering as an author and uploading items, you agree to comply with these Author Terms in addition to our general Terms of Use.

2. Author Eligibility

• You must have the legal right to sell the items you upload
• You must provide accurate personal and payment information
• You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations

3. Item Requirements

3.1 Originality and Ownership

• All items must be your original work or properly licensed
• You must own all rights to the items you sell
• Items must not infringe on third-party intellectual property
• You must have permission to use any third-party assets included

3.2 Quality Standards

• Items must function as described
• Items must be free of malicious code, viruses, or malware
• Items must be properly documented
• Items must meet our quality guidelines

3.3 Prohibited Content

You may NOT upload items that:

• Violate copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Contain illegal or harmful content
• Infringe on privacy rights
• Contain adult, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Promote illegal activities
• Violate platform policies

4. Item Listings

4.1 Accurate Descriptions

• Provide clear and accurate item descriptions
• Include all relevant features and requirements
• Specify compatibility and system requirements
• Use appropriate tags and categories

4.2 Pricing

• Set fair and competitive prices
• Prices must comply with our pricing guidelines
• You may offer discounts and promotions
• We reserve the right to review and adjust prices

4.3 Images and Previews

• Use high-quality screenshots and previews
• Images must accurately represent the item
• Do not use misleading or deceptive images
• Follow our image guidelines and requirements

5. Author Earnings

5.1 Commission Structure

• Authors receive a percentage of each sale (as specified in your agreement)
• Commission rates may vary based on author level or performance

5.2 Payment Terms

6. Author Responsibilities

• Respond to buyer inquiries within 48 hours
• Provide support as specified in your item description
• Resolve issues professionally and promptly
• Maintain a high level of customer service

6.2 Item Updates

• Provide updates for items as needed
• Fix bugs and security issues promptly
• Notify buyers of significant updates
• Maintain compatibility with current platforms

6.3 License Compliance

• Honor all license terms for sold items
• Provide items as described in the license
• Do not revoke licenses after sale

7. Author Conduct

Authors must:

• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Not engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
• Not manipulate ratings or reviews
• Not spam or harass buyers
• Not create fake accounts or engage in vote manipulation

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Your Rights

• You retain ownership of your items
• You grant us a license to display and sell your items
• You can remove your items at any time (subject to existing sales)

8.2 Our Rights

• We have the right to review and approve items
• We can remove items that violate our policies
• We can use item previews for marketing purposes

9. Item Removal and Suspension

13. Marketing and Promotion

• Do not engage in spam or unethical marketing
